The Trust Engine w/ Johnny Terra
I'm Johnny Terra, CPA. I came to Texas from Brazil with two hundred dollars, built my first accounting practice out of a pantry between a bank job and midnight, merged it into a firm, and became the bottleneck of all of it. What fixed it was treating my hours like money and building systems that answer the question once. Home by six. Same income.
The Trust Engine is where I document how I lead a team and how I talk to clients, one story at a time, with the math on getting home by six. For CPAs and firm owners who are good at the work and trapped by it, and for the manager who just got handed a team. One episode a month, the first of the month. Real stories, names changed, lessons intact.
Same revenue, half the hours.

The Foundational Checklist (Guest: Levi Wanner)
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In year one, Levi Wanner closed both houses he'd built and realized: "I'm out of business." Last year his company delivered 60 homes across four Montana markets — with six employees — while he coached every one of his kids' seasons.
The difference wasn't hustle. It was checklists.
Levi — realtor-turned-builder, founder of Infinity Homes and Builder Launch, and a pilot who runs his business like a pre-flight — breaks down the machine: the milestone system that guides 200 sets of hands through every build without a single 6 PM fire call, the weekly to-the-penny budget email that kills the biggest fear his clients have, and the follow-up discipline ("follow up, follow through, follow back") that closes leads five years after the first hello — including birthday texts to people who never bought a thing.
Plus: the Power List, growth by hitting singles instead of home runs, and a Thanksgiving Pie Party that turned his subcontractors into his best referral source.
His grade-school wrestling coach said it best: "If you do the little things right, you'll do the big things right."
